GERARD ARLANDES

Gerard Arlandes (Barcelona, 1951) is Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University Autónoma de Barcelona (1971-1977), dancer with an scholarship from Escola de Dansa Anna Maleras (1976-1979) and Qi Gong, Taiji professor for the Stillpoint Foundation (Colorado USA.) Studied Conscious Movement (Método Aberasturi), Yoga, Katsu-gen, Yuki, Voice Craft, Feldenkrais Method. Danced professionally with different companies in Spain and Germany. In 1979 became a scholarship from the Stillpoint Foundation (EE UU) directed by Gia-fu Feng. During three years studies: Qi Gong, Taijiquan, Taoist philosophy, and some elements of medicine, calligraphy and chinese language. From 1982 teaches dance and body techniques: Taiji, Qi Gong, breathing techniques and placement in Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Austria.: Münster, Düsseldorf, Köln, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Bern, Basilea, Vienna. Actually directs the Centre Gerard Arlandes with Sybille Karsch since 2011. He works in Barcelona as a professor of his own technique Contemporary Qi Gong. Coaches professionals and managers of all fields in Universities and Companies of Spain, Germany and Switzerland.
